Put simply &#8211; a matboard is a 1.6mm thick cardboard in various colors, with different textures and surfaces (e.g. velvet, silk, linen).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Matboard is the main framing element. From a practical point of view &#8211; it places and protects the artwork. From an artistic point of view it brings out and adds depth to the artwork.
